As Managing Partner of Highland Pacific, Josh is responsible for the day to day operations of Highland Pacific and the lead client interface. Prior to Highland Pacific Josh was the founding partner of Cash Flow Club (“CFC”), which is a Los Angeles based real estate company offering investors an opportunity to invest in specific real estate add-value opportunities. Josh, as a result of the success of CFC founded JMK Real Estate Services, Inc. (“JMK”), which offered over a decade of real estate management and leasing experience, to not only allow CFC to achieve portfolio appreciation and increased cash flow, but third party owners the same benefit of CFC’s portfolio. With thousands of tenant lease signings, over five hundred unit turns, forward-thinking personal service, absolute transparency, and a value-added platform of sustainability, positions Josh as a foremost authority in property management, leasing services, and renovations. Josh earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Marketing from the University of Maryland in 2001. Josh then worked at Marcus & Millichap’s West LA Office as a multi-family investment sales agent from 2006 to 2009 prior to starting JMK in 2010. Josh is a licensed California Real Estate Broker.

As a Shareholder at Highland Pacific, Inc., Matthew leverages his 18 year background in investment sales and capital markets, to accelerate client success through high level property management. His expertise in finance, valuation, and transactional strategies developed through the ownership of a commercial brokerage company and earlier in his career on behalf of some of the nation’s largest brokerage houses, positions him to contribute to strategies that enhance property performance and investor returns effectively. Matthew’s proven track record and his experience in structuring complex deals, including 1031 exchanges, underpin his ability to navigate properties to successful outcomes in the “big moments” as well as to meet the diverse complexities of real estate ownership, ensuring operational excellence and strategic growth for clients of Highland Pacific.

As a Shareholder/Advisor of Highland Pacific, Josh will assist in the efficient and accretive repositioning of assets under management. He will report to clients along with the team discussing the implementation of plans outlining revenue growth, operational cost savings, capital improvements, and forward-thinking financing and disposition strategies.

Having been in the commercial real estate space for over 30 years. Josh started his career as a commercial real estate broker after working for national real estate firms as a top producer and lead advisor, leaving the large national firms to start Arbor Realty Capital Advisors with Matt Dobson 9 years ago. In the early 2000’s Josh started building a self-managed real estate portfolio consisting of multifamily, retail, industrial, assisted living, mixed-use, land, and self-storage properties. Recently, with the formation of Highland Pacific, Josh looks to take his unique broad-based skill set as a member of strategic advisory group within Highland Pacific assisting the team in the value creation of the different product types under management.

Kristen Abitabile has been an Account Manager since 2012. She oversees financial operations and client reporting, working diligently to customize every client’s experience and ensure that all needs are met and exceeded. She regularly interfaces with our wide variety of tenants and vendors, and prides herself on fostering strong and reliable professional relationships.

Kristen has spent 15 years prior to Highland Pacific working as a professional bookkeeping consultant for a variety of clients to include accounting firms, legal practices, private investment groups, and both commercial and residential real estate companies. She obtained her B.A. in Political Science from California State University-Northridge and holds a J.D. from American University-Washington College of Law. She is a licensed attorney in the State of Maryland and an active member of the state bar association. Additionally, Kristen volunteers with the Internal Revenue Service’s Voluntary Income Tax Assistance program (helping low-income taxpayers file their returns) and is a Notary Public.

Sosa

Property Manager

Fortunato works closely with tenants, vendors, service providers, and maintenance contractors to schedule and complete repairs while simultaneously focusing on preventive maintenance initiatives, landscaping, and other projects to provide exceptional spaces for tenants and preserve asset value over time. Fortunato monitors usage of materials, tools, equipment and ensures they are readily available for assigned tasks. He handles miscellaneous maintenance tasks like changing light bulbs, cleaning HVAC unit air filters, light plumbing and electrical repairs, and other common area maintenance projects. He has 25+ years of experience in Los Angeles and Southern California spanning a wide variety of trades across multiple property types.

Dianne Villarreal ensures that sale and lease transactions close in an organized and efficient manner. She leverages 8 years of sales and management experience, where she supervised and coordinated with team members and used structure and organization to meet and beat sales goals in teams as large as 15 people.

Her meticulous nature and attention to detail combined with hands-on management experience make her ideally suited to support brokerage teams, and successful transaction closings.
